County Vehicle Decals
Effective December 2006, Westmoreland County chose to do away with the actual county decal; however, there is available (free of charge) a Waste Disposal Permit to be displayed on all vehicles of residents who desire to access the Transfer Site and Convenience Centers. These permits may be obtained in-person from the Treasurer’s Office or by calling (804) 493-0124 to have your permit mailed. NOTE: Personal Property taxes must be paid in order to receive a Waste Disposal Permit.

Dog Tags
Tags are required for all dogs in the county. A current rabies vaccination certificate must be presented when purchasing a dog tag. Dog tags go on sale October 15 and are due by December 31 of each year. Dog tags may be purchased at the County Treasurer's Office.

Annual Dog Tag Fees
Single dog, spayed or neutered - $5.00
Single dog, all others dogs - $10.00
Kennel - up to 20 dogs - $40.00
Kennel - 20 to 50 dogs - $50.00
