Popes Creek Trail
Part of the Bicycle Heritage Tour of the Northern Neck, this 35- to 50-mile route begins at Washington Birthplace National Monument and ends at either Stratford Hall or Westmoreland State Park, with stops at historic sites and attractions along the way.
An annual event affiliated with Bike Virginia and coordinated by the Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Neck River Ride features gently rolling terrain, quiet and picturesque roadways, and a choice of route lengths.
