See MoreThe Board of Supervisors establishes and enforces county policy, codes and ordinances. It approves operational and capital budgets, makes land use decisions, sets local tax rates and makes appointments to boards, commissions and other positions.
The Board meets at 9:30 a.m. on the second Monday of each month in the auditorium of the A. T. Johnson Alumni Museum, located at 18849 Kings Highway in Montross. Board of Supervisors meetings are open to the public and you are encouraged to attend.
Voters in each election district in the county, including the towns of Montross and Colonial Beach, elect their supervisors for four-year terms.
You may contact members of the Board of Supervisors individually or address them as a group during times allotted for public hearings and public comment at scheduled meetings.
