Getting around Westmoreland–or to and from outlying areas–is easy, thanks to a variety of county-supported transportation services.

Public Transit

Bay Transit provides curb-to-curb shuttle service for all Westmoreland County residents from 8 am to 4 pm on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Anyone can call the toll-free number 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to schedule a ride. The fare is $1 each way, anywhere in Westmoreland County. Bay Transit is a cooperative service of Bay Aging, Westmoreland County and the Westmoreland County Department of Social Services.

The Colonial Beach Transit and Trolley offers service to popular destinations like Dahlgren, Fredericksburg and Potomac Mills Shopping Center. Maps, fares and scheduling information are available from the Colonial Beach Town Hall. Discounts are offered to senior citizens.
