George Washington National Birthplace Monument
Retrace the young George Washington's footsteps through 550 acres of farms, woods and marshes along Pope's Creek. Park facilities include historic birthplace home area, colonial farm, burial ground, hiking trails, beach and picnic area.
Stratford Hall Plantation
Visitors to this 18th century 1670-acre Lee family seat enjoy strolling through the working plantation's gardens, meadows and woodlands. Three miles of nature trails offer a delightfully varied landscape and stunning Potomac River views.
Westmoreland State Park
Seven hiking trails cover six miles. The park's new beach trail offers a stunning view of the Potomac River and allows visitors to observe the river's effect on the land. Ongoing interpretive programs include fossil, night and owl hikes, kayak below the cliffs and campfire programs.
Voorhees Nature Preserve
Observation points along several miles of woodland trails through Nature Conservancy preserve on the Rappahannock River afford splendid marsh and river views. Fill up on berries you pick yourself next door at Westmoreland Berry Farm.
