Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for a building inspector position. The employee will perform difficult technical and responsible administrative work in conducting field inspections and reviewing building plans and construction for compliance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code. The position will work under the general supervision of the Building Official. The salary range is $38,232 - $63,007 with a generous benefits package. Performs responsible skilled work operating vacuum pumping stations; does related work as
required. Work is performed under limited supervision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL TASKS:

Assisting in the operation of vacuum pumping stations; taking samples; performing routine
tests; maintaining records and files.
