General & Special Elections

Polls Open at 6:00am & close at 7:00pm
In-person, early voting will be available at the office of the General Registrar:
105 COURT SQUARE, MONTROSS VA 22520
Please remember to bring proof of ID.
Absentee voting will be available at the following dates & times below. The office will be closed on October 13, 2025 for Columbus Day
Beginning September 19, 2025 through November 1, 2025:
Monday – Friday: 8:30am to 4:30pm & the last two Saturdays before Election Day.
The deadline to register to vote or update your voter registration to vote a regular ballot for this election: October 24th or online at www.elections.virginia.gov until midnight.
The deadline to request a Vote by Mail Absentee ballot is October 24th by 5:00pm.
You may drop your Vote by Mail Absentee ballot in its proper return envelope at the office of the General Registrar. In addition, drop boxes will be available at your local voting precinct on Election Day ONLY during the normal voting hours of 6:00am-7:00pm.
