  1. No Public Hearing shall be scheduled when an uncompleted application or plans have been submitted.
  2. It is suggested that all applicants schedule a pre-application conference.  Should you choose not to do so, staff reports will reflect the data submitted. 
  3. In order for a public hearing to be held at the regular meeting, the application with original signature, fee, and any and all necessary materials, along with the required number of copies shall be received by the Land Use Administration Office in the George D. English, Sr. Memorial Building, 111 Polk Street, Montross, VA, before 4:30 p.m. by the application deadline date as indicated above.

Statement: A quorum of the Planning Commission members are physically present, this meeting is  also being broadcast electronically due to the current limits on the number of persons at a gathering.  Public comments can be  submitted to the Land Use office prior to the start of the meeting.  This procedure is pursuant to and in compliance with the Emergency Ordinance to Effectuate Temporary Changes in Certain Deadlines and to Modify Public Meeting and Public Hearing Practices and Procedures to Address Continuity of Operations Associated with Pandemic Disaster.
  3. Commission Concerns:

Case # 1020-SV-01-  Francis Roberts 1708 N Greenbrier St. Arlington VA 2205, Agent D& M Surveyors P.C. 221 Queen St. PO Box 1828 Tappahannock VA 22560, requests a subdivision code variance to create an exempt subdivision on a lot created by the exempt process. This project is located at 1207 Spences Point Road. Tax Map 49-70A Cople Magisterial District.

Citizens wishing to comment are able submit written comments to be accepted as part of the public record.  Comments may be submitted via electronic mail: Landuse@westmoreland-county .org.  Comments may also be submitted by mail to: Beth McDowell, Land Use Administrator, PO Box 1000, Montross, VA 22520.  Additionally, written comments may be placed in the Treasurer’s Office dropbox on the rear of the George D. English, Sr. Memorial Building at 111 Polk Street, Montross, VA 22520 and should be in a sealed envelope which is clearly marked “Land Use Administration.”  Submissions of written comments must include the citizen’s name and address.  Please construct your comments in such a manner that they are limited to three (3) minutes when read at a typical oral reading pace.  For comments provided in representation of a group, the time limit is five (5) minutes.  All comments must be received by close of business on Friday September 4, 2020.
