Westmoreland County Industrial Development Authority

The IDA is a 7-member board appointed by the Board of Supervisors. It establishes county economic incentives and policies, issues bonds, and oversees public industrial parks and shell building development. The IDA can also issue bonds to provide creditworthy businesses with access to long-term, fixed asset financing at favorable rates and terms.

Planning and Zoning

Responsible for community planning, the Department of Planning and Zoning administers the county building code and the zoning, subdivision, wetlands and erosion control ordinances.
